In the past nine years, Waugh Cellars has grown far beyond my expectations and the reason for that growth can be simply stated in one word: You.
As a winemaker I’ve always believed that the only way to make great wine is to start with great fruit, then tend to the wine minimally, allowing it to develop as naturally as possible. As a result Waugh wines have always displayed unique flavors and characteristics that could only be found in those particular vintages.
Great wine however is nothing without the people to enjoy it and I’ve gotten no greater pleasure than to offer you my wines year after year.
As demand has increased for our small production wines though, it has become more difficult to ensure that there was enough wine to sell to all the customers who wanted it. In fact, every Waugh Cellars wine since 2001 has SOLD OUT, often times leaving our most loyal customers without a favorite for months or even until the next vintage.
That’s why I decided to create the Friends of Waugh Cellars. After all it’s you who make what I do possible and it’s my sincere hope that with this program, you’ll always have a bottle of Waugh Cellars wine on hand to share with family and friends.

Four times a year you’ll receive three, six or nine bottles of Waugh Cellars award winning wines, along with Ryan's tasting notes. Sometimes the wines will be our latest releases other times it will be extremely rare bottlings that will never be available to the general public; all shipments will be a mix of varietals giving you the chance to discover your favorites.
